About + Policies

Honeydove is a luxury line of handmade and bespoke goods by Charlotte Dupont. We are a slow and conscious fashion label. In every aspect of our business, we are striving to be better stewards of the earth. We are always striving to become more sustainable and regenerative as a company. Being a conscious company is a verb to me; it never stops; there is always more we can do to be better. And we are not perfect. We are always striving to be better and always open to kind and constructive feedback.
Things that are important to our brand:
- inclusivity
- anti-racism and paying reparations through donation
- supporting garment workers who sew our clothing through fair wages and safe/healthy working environments
- natural dye and avoiding synthetic dyes that pollute the earth
- using dead stock fabric (recycled fabric that would otherwise go to the land fill)
- using sustainable and compostable shipping materials
We are not perfect but we are always striving to be better; if we have missed something please feel free to send us a note.
Our focus is on conscious, earth-friendly, simple luxuries.
Please note that all items are dyed using the natural dye process (other than the house line items which are un-dyed). Occasionally we do use yarn-dyed or dead-stock fabric remnant (like our cotton linen gingham!). Natural dye is a magical process in which alchemy of natural fiber and natural earth color come together—natural variation is to be expected (this means spots/dye marks, etc.) Each item is unique. Fading over time is possible.
All sales are final.

Honeydove items are plant-dyed pieces of art. Once you receive your items, it is up to you to properly care for it. Once our pieces leave our studio, the ball is in your court.

Over time, your items may fade and shift in color. This is normal. Items can be re-dyed but we do not offer re-dying. That being said, our dye practices give the longest possible longevity of your garments as long as you properly care for them.

How to care for Honeydove Items:

Botanically dyed clothing should be handled with care and treated as art. Excessive washing of naturally dyed items is not recommended. When washing, I recommend using a gentle non-tox detergent (I personally love to use Branch Basics or unscented Dr. Bronner's.) Be gentle with your silks as it is a luxurious yet gentle fabric and requires care. I recommend hang drying silk and hang drying your Honeydove clothing for longevitiy. My best tip: treat your silks as art. Be gentle with your clothing.
