Vintage abalone shell on golden 100% silk thread.
Abalone helps soothe our emotions and reminds us that beauty and light is waiting for us beyond the difficult journeys we each go through. It brings peace love and compassion during hard times. I believe this abalone came to me as a gift and reminder of the medicine we all need right now.
Overtime, the thread may break. The abalone can be removed from the thread and put on a gold chain if you wish.
Each shell in unique. Gold thread is 28” long and you tie it based on your length preference.
I ordered this shell without a real goal, thinking it was very beautiful. It is, and so is the silk thread on which it sits, which is totally adequate and lovely in its own right. A close friend then told me she was going to Panama on a dark and serious journey, and so I gave it to her. It is protecting her now, and I suppose it helped me practice that love and compassion.
I’ve had this for awhile now and wear it everyday and love the mermaid vibes it adds to every outfit. Smaller than expected, but wonderfully understated and magical.
