This dress has been in the works for 1+ year.
It has turned out to be total perfection. It runs VERY true to size. The elastic is more relaxed than our puff sleeve top - 16" flat for small, 17" flat for medium and 18" flat for large. We opted out of XS and XL because the small and large are very free size and extend into the sizes.
I like to wear a size small but can also size up to a medium.
All of our garments are always pre-washed and pre-shrunk so what you get is what you get :)
100% raw silk. To wash, wash on warm gentle cycle with similar colors. Tumble dry low is best for raw silk.
Length is 34" for small, 35" for medium and 36" for large.
***the dress does not come with a waist tie but you can purchase separately. The wrap also doubles as a bandeau top.

I love this puff dress. I wear mine with tights/leggings with Honeydove’s chunky alpaca socks and feel so comfy and cozy but also put together and cute ☺️
I've been following Honeydove since it was in its early stages, and every new piece that Charlotte dreams up is just so beautiful, with each detail deeply considered, and so much care put into its creation. The puff dress is no exception. Made of delicious raw silk, it is so cozy for cold Oregonian winter days, and is super stylish as both a tunic over jeans or as a dress over tights.
I got a custom dyed dark inky black-mauve and it's just divine. I recommend Honeydove to literally anyone who wants their clothes to feel like they have a sweet aura. You won't regret it :)
And for others shopping - I purchased a size S, I'm 5'1", DD chest and tend to wear size 10/12. As a shorter lady, the size S hits me just above the knee is a really flattering way, and there is ample shoulder/chest space in this garment. Thank you Honeydove! ✨
I’ve been using this as my nightdress and it’s been keeping me so warm 💕 i got the charcoal color way and it’s the perfect shade to match with many things!
I want to preamble this by saying that I am not a person who is in the position to spend nearly $300 on a dress very often. I coordinate an arts and ecology nonprofit, and live pretty humbly. But I have been reflecting a lot recently about what it means to invest in the future - the earth's of course, but within that also my own. What it would mean to have a slim collection of precious items that I will live in and care for, and in that looking after love more deeply. I have been considering offerings at Honeydove for a while now because the owner's ethos are so aligned with that thought process and finally decided to go for it with the puff dress because after some refection I could see myself wearing it in so many contexts and seasons; cozy extra room for layers and carrying more weight in the winter, airy and light for quickly packed summer road trips and slipping in and out of at the river. Well I just got my dress today and I can tell just wearing it in my room that its exactly all those things. The quality is excellent. I feel truly at home in it already, and my smidge of underlying guilt at the price just evaporated. I am so glad to have this dress and to have put my money into a truly small local business such as this one.
Practically, I am 5"8 and 4/6 in dresses, I decided to go with an M for length and I am very glad that I did - it hits me just right and think a small would have been just a smidge too short esp if I styled it belted. I love that Honeydove offers a dying service because that also helped me think about buying a white dress - knowing that I can reinvest in giving it new life in the future in a new shade was reassuring.
I got my puff dress custom dyed by Charlotte, a deep purple and I couldn’t be more in love! I paired it with a striped vest and boots, I get so many compliments when I wear it out. :) My favorite thing about raw silk is that the dog hair from my husky/malamute doesn’t stick or collect onto the dress!! 💜 Animal parents dream.
